Commands of the Bible

A few weeks ago, one of the ministers preached on the commands of the Bible and I thought it was worth sharing. There are seven commands in the Bible (not including the 10 Commandments).

1 - Come to a place of safety
Genesis 7:1-5
Hebrews 11:7
2 - Come for a personal cleansing
Isaiah 1:16-20
Psalm 51
Ephesians 1:6-8
3 - Come to a Godly fellowship
Numbers 10:29
Isaiah 26:1
Do we find safety in the church?
Psalm 48:12-13
4 - Come for a satisfying portion
Isaiah 55:1
Remember...the price has been paid!
John 7:37-39
5 - Come for rest
Matthew 11:28-29
6 - Come at the King's urgent invitation
Matthew 22:1-13
7 - Come to Him
Revelation 22:17
Revelation 3:20-21

Because of Jesus' death on the cross for us, ALL men may have salvation!

I'm sure the last point is one that we all remember, but it is still such a joy to see the words again and again printed in the Book of Truth!

Another minister talked about three things that we should be continually asking God to help us with.
1. Lead me in thy truth
2. Teach me thy ways
3. Lead me in thy righteousness
